The Bounty Hunters actress Rosie Perez became honest about that one activity that soothes her mind during stressful times. She has also revealed what her life lessons are.
She will be next seen in the Kaley Cuoco starrer “Flight Attendant.”
She revealed that she had some good and bad experiences while working for television so when an offer to star in the upcoming series “Flight Attendant” came up, she had mixed feelings about it. However, when she met Kaley Cuoco, her mind started to change as she found her co-star quite amazing. Yet still, she had to be upfront about a few things, so she straight away asked her about her work ethic. Reflecting on that, she remembered her 20s when she used to come late to the sets all the time, and on one occasion, she got fired because of it. However, she was hired within an hour after her relentless crying convinced the producers that she would learn from her mistakes.
She added that she now likes to be brutally honest about her work. The series from which she got fired for being late was “It Could Happen to You.”
She further talked about how being in shape physically does not matter to her as much as being in shape mentally. She has noticed that the only way she can get progress in her life is by being emotionally and mentally sound. She made a point that if you are not mentally healthy, things will always fall apart. So, she has trained herself to focus on that over the years.
She added that one of the most significant aspects of mental exercise is physical exercise.
“Exercise is tied to my mental health,” she added. She shared that she has been boxing for a short time now and has learned over the years that serenity and control make someone a world-beater. She said that she knows for a fact that nobody has won anything if he or she hasn’t been “calm” and “composed.”
In her interview, she had also shed some light on her activism works and said that she is very drawn towards activism because of her general dislike of injustice. She gave an example of herself and said that she had gone through several cases of injustice (she lived in a group home for children for a while), and whenever she sees somebody doing injustice on someone, she gets pissed off.
Rosie Perez (full name-Rosa Maria Perez) has an academy award nomination to her name, which she had got way back in 1994 for her work in the 1993 film “Fearless.” Apart from that, she has also won three Emmy award nominations in recognition of some choreography works for the show “In Living Color.” The 56-year-old actress has specialization in other domains, including direction, dancing, choreography, acting, writing, and activism.
Being a co-host of the show “The View” during its run of 18th season is also one of her achievements.
