How to Remove a Single Message in Twitch?

Twitch is one of the most popular streaming platforms, especially for gamers. It offers premium services and allows users to chat with millions of people worldwide.

The chat boxes sometimes get littered with inappropriate and spam items that make the viewers frustrated. Previously, there was not the option to remove a single message from the Twitch channel. Then, users could ban the specific user from Twitch or give them a particular “timeout.”

Now, Twitch users have the option to remove messages, even a single one from the complete message string. In case you wish to remove such annoying contents or messages from your Twitch account, then this blog is here to assist you properly.

Removing Twitch Chat by Turning on the Mod Icons

In order to activate the mod icons, you need to have the particular moderator status on the specific Twitch channel. Once you are all set with moderator status, follow these guidelines:

• Hit the gear-shaped Settings icon located at the lowermost left-hand side section of your chat box.
• Once the Settings page comes into the display, scroll down to locate the section of Mod Tools. Once found, tap on it.
• Mod icons will turn on after a bit. Now you can view all the features and tools of moderators in the chat box.

Removing a Single Message

When you have the Mod icons activated, you can effortlessly remove any single message through a normal click. To do so, pursue these instructions carefully:

• Find the message that you desire to remove in the respective chat.
• Once you have found the desired message, hit the Remove Message icon.
• Your message will be automatically removed from the Message string.
• In case you wish to see the particular message, hit the “click to show” option available just after the message deletion alert.

Enabling Chat Delay in Twitch Messaging

In order to turn on the Chat Delay feature as moderator, follow these instructions:

• Navigate to the page of Moderation Settings on your Twitch.
• Then, search for the option “Non-Mod Chat Delay” located under the section “Chat Options.”
• Now, you have to select the amount of time for which you desire to delay the respective chat.

You can easily choose between the options of chat delay, such as two, four, or six seconds. It will provide enough time for you and any other moderators to make your chat box clean and appropriate.
