Destiny 2: Beyond Light – Grind Power to 1260

It’s been less than two weeks of Destiny 2: Beyond Light release, and many players have managed to grind their power level so high. While playing online completion Deep Stone Crypt raid, many might have noticed that some players have possessed incredible powers. It’s slightly confusing for some of the players who aren’t aware of this scenario, but it’s nothing new. The highest and hardest level cap of Destiny 2: Beyond Light is 1260. But if you add artifact levels, then the maximum level can reach up to 1280.

The difficulty of the game depends on the level you’re playing. If a player is playing on higher levels, then as compared to lower levels, he/she will face higher difficulty opponents. It is quite typical of a new player to wrap the difficulty of soft/hard caps, powerful/pinnacle engrams, and artifacts power. These following terms separate all the levels, and players have to pass all these levels to reach the higher levels of the game. Now there are plenty of ways to level, but very few ways can help players grow their level faster.

In the higher levels, the number of rewards also increases that players can claim. So to grind level quickly, here is the easiest guide for you.

Soft Cap, Hard Cap, and Pinnacle Cap

If you have played Season 12, then you must have known that there were three levels that you hit the max. The following levels are:

  • Soft Cap: 1200
  • Hard Cap: 1250
  • Pinnacle Cap: 1260

In each level, players have to change their way of playing to change their power. In the soft cap, every gear can get an upgrade. While completing activities in a soft cap, any gear you pick gets an upgrade. Picking up the new gears also upgrade the power.

As you can see, the Soft cap level is up to 1200, so once hit the following level, you will find only a few slots to power up. On the other hand, Power and Pinnacle both will give slightly bigger power. At these higher levels, you’ll receive some additional rewards and items for the upgrade.

Reach 1200 Cap

The easiest cap among all is Soft Cap that offers a reward with each upgrade. In Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Soft Cap is a great way to progress the game. While progressing the game on this level, you’ll receive a huge power jump that will lead you straight to 1200 level.

However, if you want to reach 1200 through the fastest way, you should leave the playing campaign and get to the Moon. Once you collect entire bounties from Eris, head towards Sorrows Harbor and then travel to Hellmouth. There can also find these four items:

  • Group of three powerful Orges
  • Public Event
  • Powerful Vex Minotaur
  • Powerful Hive Knight

Although you’ll not find all these items in a single run, if you look correctly, you can find them around the Hellmouth area. Eliminating the Ogres and a Knight will offer a chest, while a Minotaur will offer an invisible jumping track puzzle. Once you complete your round on the platform, you’ll have to return to your Sorrows Harbor.

You can do this twice if you are quick, and it will help you reach 1200 pretty quickly. Additionally, you can choose a small Lost Sector like Widow’s Walk at EDZ. You have to run this until you reach 1200. Remember that during the play, make sure not to complete any Pinnacle or Powerful rewards.

Reach 1250 Hard Cap

Once you hit the 1200 cap, you need to be a little careful about your activities to quickly reach the hard cap. The most basic you can do right here is claim your entire Pinnacle and Powerful, and you’ll obtain plenty of Powerful and doubles. Here is what you’ll get for Pinnacle and Powerful Engrams:

  • Exotic Engram: +3 power
  • Exotic Quests and Ritual Weapons: +3
  • Pinnacle: +6 power (until hard cap then +1)
  • Powerful Engram: +3 power
  • Prime Engram: +3 power
  • Valor, Infamy, Glory Rank Up: +3 power

Read the following list of rewards, but remember that the following upgrades are taken from an average level. But if you want to be upgraded to keep track of the highest level, you can open the official Destiny Item Manager (DIM) website.

The DIM helps those who spend a lot of time in Destiny 2: Beyond Light and prefer to be sorted in all ways. In the following section, you’ll see your power level and your active banner. Below the active banner, you’ll see the possible power level of your entire gears.

Specifically, the Power Level is the average of your all owned gears. To grind the power level, you have to increase your average level.

Among all slots, the Gauntlet is the easiest one to raise. You can raise Gauntlet either by season pass track or can play the Wrathborn hunt. Usually, for some players, both of these options are not available, so they should probably run open events on Europa to grind Hereafter Pieces. Eventually, any activity you do will help you to grind Gauntlet.

Simply, you need to claim Powerful to reach the next level. However, if you find any inconsistency in your gears, then you should use lower level gears. You can find lower-level weapons by performing any playlist activity until a lower-level item spawns.

Reaching 1260 Pinnacle Cap

After filling every slot with 1250 items, the only thing left will be your Pinnacle Engrams. Grinding this final slot will not be easier than the previous slots. It can take weeks because you have to claim plenty of Pinnacle rewards. Each Pinnacle reward will provide you +1 item. Right now, apart from the Iron Banner, there are four Pinnacle Engrams available.

Conclusion

The newest update of Destiny 2: Beyond Light has made the game more interesting for the players. Usually, players have to find resources to upgrade their levels, but now players can claim rewards and play levels multiple times to grind their level. However, players need to follow the right process to grind level quickly.
