Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War – All Maps Tier List

2020 is about to end pretty soon. The number of active players in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has just started. The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has brought plenty of new features and challenges for the players. As compared to the previous sequels, the map section of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is quite impressive yet challenging for players. However, players expected a great number of maps during the launch, but this didn’t happen. They have eight main maps available, along with the two additional maps for Fireteam modes.

Indeed, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War offers the lowest number of maps, but all of these maps have their specialty. Most of the players believe that these available maps are offering the best playing experience so far. Keeping the number of maps aside, the maps of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War are a combination of realistic visuals and three-lane designs similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Defending and camping on these maps will not be very easy this time, but there’ll be some additional support that players will get. Some of the maps have flummoxed design and surroundings, which makes the multiplayer mode more difficult.

Best Map: Garrison, Armada, and Moscow

Among all multiplayer maps, three of them are considered the best maps are Garrison, Armada, and Garrison. These three maps are considered the best maps of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which doesn’t mean other maps of the game are not strong. The Garrison, Armada, and Moscow are also based on three-lane design, but these maps’ complexity is groundbreaking.

According to the mode, the Moscow map is a balanced long lane site that offers a great variety of playstyle. Garrison has much bigger lanes, but players can also experience short and mid-range encounters there. The Armada map is the only map that doesn’t follow the three-lane structure. The two lanes on this map are pretty similar, but the third takes the players deep underneath the ship.

The design of all these three maps is completely outstanding. The minor drawback of the Armada map is its underwater shenanigans and bridge in its middle area. The underwater site looks insane, but swimming underwater doesn’t offer many advantages in trouble situations. The best place to take cover in Armada is its middle area, but players can’t overtake from that site. On the other hand, Garrison and Moscow are packed with many interiors that can abolish the attacks, but some windows create major trouble. But overall, these three maps are worth considering as the best map, and players should try these.

Middle of the Road: Miami, Crossroads and Checkmate

The victory on Miami, Crossroads, and Checkmate maps are more dependent on the modes. These three maps are either a complete hit or miss, especially the Checkmate and Crossroads. Miami can do a little trick but still doesn’t provide anything exceptional. Miami’s beach area is a long lane site, but it doesn’t provide any helpful cover to use. It’s pointless to occupy these types of areas.

Keep the Miami map aside, and the Checkmate is among the worst maps from the trio. It has long, narrow lanes, but without covers, it’s completely useless. Using the open area to dominate doesn’t lead players anywhere and makes things more difficult. The biggest issue in Checkmate is its spawn location. The spawn points are really bad because of its small size.

Worst Maps: Cartel and Satellite

So, two maps are considered the worst maps of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The biggest reason for considering Cartel and Satelite the worst map is their design.

Satellite is heaven for sniping, which is already a problematic situation for the non-snipers. Plus, the design of the map doesn’t let players play simply like other best maps. Players that hold the extreme point get the advantage. However, players have to be skilled to eliminate their opponents.

Cartel is worse than the Satellite map for several reasons. There you’ll find an outlandish design that you’ll not find in other maps of the game. In the middle of the Cartel map, you’ll find a huge number of coca plants to not see through easily. So spotting enemies in this location is difficult. Whoever holds the middle point first gets the advantage. Because of this low visibility, players don’t prefer to play there, making Cartel map the worst map.

Conclusion

So, as per the maps’ design and surroundings, the small is more complicated than the bigger maps. Players that love to play difficult and low visibility maps, they should play on small maps. However, bigger maps offer a better playing experience, and players can use more strategies to dominate the battle.
