One Piece was riddled with personas that hold a scary number of fantastic animated power-ups, several of them being difficult to reproduce in Dungeons and Dragons. One of the characters that seemed to be a natural fit in the D&D world is Soul King Brook, although he may be the quirkiest part of the gang. Brook becomes part of the Straw Hat Pirates in the middle of the Thriller Bark arc, where he gets stuck in a land surrounded by ocean, primarily because someone snatched away his shadow. Brook took up a role in the group as a musician and began to earn name and fame, which helps his companions during several conflicts.
Brook was an average person at the beginning. Still, his new birth brought him back as a skeleton, all due to the outcome of Yomi Yomi no Mi fruit, which permitted his quintessential spirit to be returned to his mortal shell after his demise. This ‘back from the dead’ version of Brook has not altered the nature and mentality of Brook. He is still an outgoing and party-loving man he was previously. One extra benefit he finds is that he can dislocate his soul from his being, something his mortal friends can only wish to be able to do.
Brook was brought back to life after death because of a hex put on him. He retained himself, but there were two changes that cannot be unnoticed. The first was that he did not have any requirement of food, oxygen, or rest to function normally. But the fact that his looks were not trustworthy was prone to spontaneous attacks from scared and alarmed humans. I mean, the man looks like a sack of bones walking around, any sane human is bound to be terrorized. To roam freely in the city, Brook has to maneuver his appearance, and for anyone who figures out his reality, Brook has to do a lot of convincing.
As compared to the Dungeons and Dragons world, the people of the One Piece multiverse are much more sensitive and accepting of Brook as opposed to the people of Faerun or Perth. Here is how you create Brook using stuff from the Players’ Handbook. Brook is just a human bone bard, with a College of Valor archetype operating at the third level.
Brook presented his mysterious observation in regards to his journey before he turned into a pirate. We are aware of his life and role in Rumbar Pirates, so his origins are that of a sailor. Brook is visibly a talented artist in the field of music, and repercussions of his devil fruit gave him the scope to move the essence of himself to his tunes. In the manga, Brook exhibits skills that tap out his rivals with his music, hallucinations, and soul’s disengagement. The bard spells can easily create all these effects. Brook makes sure that being undead does not change the way he lives or what makes him happy. His love for the ladies, jokes, and knack of finding trouble stays intact.
