Confirmed Return of Alice Braga in Queen of the South Season 5

The Queen of the South is an American drama TV series started by M.A Fortin and Joshua John Miller.  The series is based on a novel in Spanish and was eventually introduced in 2016. Now, its season 5 production will resume anytime soon. It was earlier closed due to the pandemic.

The fans of the ‘Queen of the South’ series are expecting a huge return and a bang on the story to blow their mind. The makers of the show J. Wilson and Lorenzo O’Brien are putting in great efforts to make it a huge success. The series has received a positive response from the audience and is said to have an unpredictable narrative. “It fills the gap left by Cartel shows like Breaking Bad and Narcos,” some said.
The Brazilian actress Alice Braga will be starring as Teresa Mendoza, an impoverished lady from Mexico, handling the circumstances after the demise of her sweetheart. She decides on taking vengeance of her lover’s death and turning into the greatest bootlegger of Dallas.
Along with the confirmed return of Alice Braga, there is an expectation of the repeated cast, including Pote Galvez, James Valdez, and Alonzo Loya. The only character not returning to the show will be Tony Parrs, who starred as Julian Silva, as he got killed in an explosion in the season 4 finale.
The first season of this show attracted a significant amount of audience and received a lot of positive feedbacks. On the other hand, the season 4 of the show was left on a curious note in 2019, after which its fans are eager to know the next move. There is a wave of curiosity amongst the audience to know about the consequences of the cliff-hanging story of season 4.
Lately, there has been a lot of discussions going on regarding the release date of season 5 of the Queen of the South. The word is that the series will get released anytime in 2021 on Netflix. The season was likely to be released in 2020, but the fans will have to keep waiting until next year. This season is also expected to have a total of thirteen episodes, just like all its previous seasons. Also, the screen time per episode is likely to be 40-45 minutes.
