5 Ways to Discover the Music You Love on Spotify

Are you tired of listening to your old songs and want to update your playlist with your current favorites? Even when you have access to so many songs, the app’s AI might let only your old favorites pop up on your screen, and you end up listening to the same songs again and again. However, if you are on Spotify, you can modify and play with some features to find new music of your taste. And these songs will be similar to what you now listen to. These are the five best ways through which you can find your next favorite jam.

Creating a Playlist With Similar Songs
This feature is quite unknown. In your current playlist’s sidebar, you will get the option to create a new playlist similar to your current one. Go to your playlist and right-click on it, and you will see a list of new options. From there, you can create a public playlist, or create a related playlist. This will promptly create a matching playlist with different songs of the same genre and taste. You can create a playlist of a variety of songs and then use this feature to make another one similar to this. This way, you can develop an updated playlist without losing your current ones.
Add the Tracks That Are Recommended
Want to generate a dope playlist but running out of songs to fill it? Well, Spotify itself suggests songs according to your preferences. Start by creating a new playlist. Give it a name, a cover picture, and write a description. Then select songs and add them into your new playlist by dragging them or by clicking on Add to the Playlist. When there are some songs on the list, press the left sidebar and scroll down to find the option of the suggested songs. Here you can see tracks recommended by Spotify that suit your interest. You can hear them and add them accordingly. Once done, do refresh your playlist. This way, you can add more to your playlist, and maybe you’ll love the new suggested songs more.
Go With the Autoplay
Autoplay is the most accessible feature that enables you to explore new songs. Autoplay plays similar songs right after the end of your selected songs. It starts playing all the songs that are similar to what you usually hear automatically. It keeps on playing until you change it. To enjoy this feature, make sure you have turned on the Autoplay Similar Songs option.
Take Suggestions from Your Friends’ Playlist
Spotify is a social platform for streaming and sharing music. Through it, you can also share your own playlist with everyone. Also, there is a Friend Activity feature on the right side window. This tab shows what kind of music your friends and followers are listening to on Spotify. You can add friends from the Find Friends option.  Though you may not much like their song taste, it’s still exciting to know your friends’ playlist. If you like any song from their list, just check the album from which the song belongs to at the bottom of your screen, and then you can search the song. Easy peasy!
Use the Discover Tab
Spotify has an option from where you can discover different genres and moods of music. This feature is called the Discover tab. You just need to click on the search bar of Spotify, and the left sidebar will show you the Discover option. Here you will see weekly releases, specials, top songs, and all kinds of fresh music to keep to your playlist updated. Listen to them and save the one you like because these lists keep on changing. You can also see recommendations here. There are playlists from bands or artists you like based on what your stream.
Now that you know so many ways to discover new music, you must understand why Spotify is the favorite of all. This app has all you love and all you need in one place.
