How to Use Multiple Email IDs on iOS

You can use your Gmail account on the iOS mail application. iOS bail application also supports sending and receiving messages using an alias like IMAP, where IMAP stands for Internet Messaging Access Protocol. It refers to a protocol that can be used for retrieving messages from an email server, and you can also synchronize apps on multiple devices with the same email account. However, you will require iOS 12 to function it properly.
Earlier iOS used to have POP3 Email protocols, but now IMAP has replaced it and provides multiple features that can help you activate your Gmail account through it. Here is how you can enable IMAP on Gmail:
  1. Open your Gmail account on a web browser and go to Settings.
  2. Click on see all Settings and go to Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
  3. Under the IMAP Access section, click on Enable IMAP.
  4. Tap on Save Changes, and the IMAP will be activated.
Don’t forget to set an application-specific password if you have some figured two-factor authentication for your Gmail account. This is to secure your Gmail accounts, if you log in for the first time or add your account as IMAP.
