Do You Want to Download Fortnite on Your iPhone or iPad? Here’s What You Need to Know

If you’re a Fortnite player and want to download the same on your iPhone or iPad, sadly Apple has blocked the Epic Games developer account on the App Store. It also means that you will no longer be able to download the game; however, if you’ve installed it already on your Apple device, you can continue playing.

If you’re familiar with the Fortnite game, it is undoubtedly one of the most popular games in the world. The game was removed from the App Store because of a legal dispute between Epic Games and Apple. It turned out to be a reason for blocking Fortnite from the App Store, making it unavailable for users. Apple recently announced that the gaming company would no longer be able to access the development tools for any Apple platforms, including iOS, macOS, and tvOS. Terminating the Epic Games account also means that you’ll no longer be able to get your hands on its latest updates it has got to offer.

In case you downloaded the game before it got blocked, you might have followed some steps to download the same. All you had to do was check for all the purchased games on your Apple device, search for the game, and reinstall it. However, that method is no longer functional as well.

According to the figures, Fortnite has been downloaded from the App Store for around 160 billion times, generating $1.2 billion since its debut in 2012. It’s a significant loss for Epic Games.

As of now, the only method to play the Fortnite game on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac is if it’s already installed. Let’s say you surpassed the difficulty of finding an Apple device with the Fortnite game, it’ll no longer be as fun as it used to be because you’ll only be able to match with the other Apple device players. It is because of the unavailability of cross-platform matchmaking.

As the disputes are still going on, there is no information regarding the return of Fortnite on the App Store. The possible scenario is that it might never return, which is heartbreaking for the dedicated players.

Though Fortnite is gone for who knows how long, there is nothing you can do about the same rather than visiting #FreeFortnite on social media. It is hard to accept that you can no longer play Fortnite on your Apple or Android device; however, it is available for all other platforms like a PC.
