To defeat the leader like Arlo, you have to use the best Pokemon to counter his Pokemon lineup. He is one of the strongest leaders of the Team Rocket organization. To defeat Arlo, you just don’t have to bring your most powerful Pokemon, but you also need to use those Pokemon which are strong against Arlo’s Pokemon. How to Counter and Defeat Leader Arlo

Arlo Pokemon Lineup and its Counters 

In every lineup, his first Pokemon is always either Mawile or Pineco. 

• Pineco is a Bug-type Pokemon that can use Bug and Normal-type fast moves. It can use Steel, Ground, and Rock-type charge moves. To counter this Pokemon, you can use Rock, Fire, and Flying-type moves.
• Mawile is a Steel/Fairy-type Pokemon that can use the Ghost, Dark, Ice, and Fire-type fast moves. It can use Steel and Fairy-type charge moves. To counter Mawile, you can use Fire and Ground-type moves.
• To counter both of these Pokemon, your best pick will be Fire-type moves. Both of these Pokemon are weak against Fire-type moves. You can use Blaziken, Moltres, and Chandelure and use Fire-type moves like Overheat and Firespin.

Second Round Counters

Arlo’s second Pokemon from the lineup could be either Blastoise, Charizard, or Steelix.

Third Round Counters

 The final and third Pokemon that Arlo can choose either Dragonite, Salamence, or Scizor. 

• Scizor is a Bug/Steel-type Pokemon that can use Steel and Bug-type fast moves. He also uses Dark, Bug, and Steel-type charge moves. You can use your strongest Fire-type Pokemon to defeat Scizor easily. 
• If Arlo chooses Dragonite, then you should be careful from its Dragon-type attacks. Dragonite is a Dragon/Flying-type Pokemon. It can use Dragon and Flying-type fast moves and Normal, Flying, and Dragon-type charge moves. Dragonite is a dual-type Pokemon, so you can use Ice-type moves to bring it down. Use moves like Ice Beam, Blizzard, or try Pokemon like Mewtwo or Regice to defeat Dragonite quickly.
• Salamence is the last Pokemon Arlo can use. It is also a Dragon/Flying-type Pokemon that can use Fire, Dark, and Dragon-type fast moves. You have to be careful from his Water, Fire, and Dragon-type charge moves. It is also a dual-type Pokemon, so you have plenty of choices to use against Salamence. Try Regice, Suicune with Water and Ice-type moves, or you can also try Tyranitar with Smackdown and Crunch moves.

While battling against Arlo, you have to remember to use the right counter Pokemon and their moves. His first Pokemon will not create many problems for players, but his second and third Pokemon from the lineup is extremely dangerous.
